Third Wave Automation is looking for an Integration Engineer to automate the bring-up and testing of our robotic forklifts, design/build fleet management tools, and be the start of our worldwide operations team. Role And Responsibilities
As part of the Third Wave team, you will:
Ensure ongoing quality of our production software by designing, implementing, and improving tools, frameworks, metrics, and processes.
Work directly with customers to build diagnostic and fleet management tools that keep us at the forefront of the field.
Think through complex product and system interactions to find gaps, failure modes, and edge cases.
Automate and remove repetitive and manual tasks.
Deliver high-quality software design, documentation, and implementation.
Write maintainable code inside collaborative codebases.
Contribute to all aspects of product development, from brainstorming to final delivery. Identify technical and developmental risks/obstacles, and provide expert recommendations on development schedule.
Provide technical leadership in areas of your specialization and supply original ideas and improvements to project designs, pipelines, and tools.
Collaborate closely with other team members.
Contribute to IP development and write functional requirement documents and guides.
Skills And Experience
We're looking for a passionate teammate who can quickly join our team and start contributing. There are many qualities that would make someone a good fit, like:
Being comfortable with a broad swath of software development, from firmware & drivers up to user interface and experience.
A deep understanding in developing systems for small to large scale deployments.
A passion for the quality and robustness of autonomous machines.
Interest in machine learning and deep neural networks, and their acceleration using GPU and/or custom hardware.
Strong software development skills that encourage code reuse among team members and ability to write efficient, clean, and reusable (Python, Go, C++) code.
Knowledge of chipset architectures (Snapdragon 845, Google edge TPUs etc.) is a plus.
Excellent presentation and communication skills (written, oral, internal, and client-facing).

Working independently across disciplines to investigate issues and determine solutions and to plan and complete responsibilities with limited supervision or direction.
