Role And Responsibilities
As part of the Third Wave team, you will:
Design, train, and verify robust machine learning systems and deep-neural networks for warehouse automation.
Deliver high-quality software design, documentation, and implementation.
Write maintainable code inside collaborative codebases.
Contribute to all aspects of product development, from brainstorming to final delivery. Identify technical and developmental risks/obstacles, and provide expert recommendations on development schedule.
Provide technical leadership in areas of your specialization and supply original ideas and improvements to project designs, pipelines, and tools.
Prototype ideas from research papers, think creatively, resolve technical challenges, and work around limitations.
Collaborate closely with other team members.
Contribute to IP development and write functional requirement documents and guides.
Skills And Experience
We're looking for a passionate teammate who can quickly join our team and start contributing. There are many experiences that would make someone a good fit, like:
5+ years of experience in hands-on development of machine learning systems OR PhD or MS degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, statistics, math or related quantitative discipline with a focus on reinforcement learning, machine learning, optimization theory or related areas.
Practical experience in GPU technology (Nvidia’s DGX-1) and developing machine learning systems, frameworks, and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch and Caffe, and similar).
Deep understanding in developing systems for small to large scale deployments.
Knowledge of machine learning and deep-neural networks, especially generative models (e.g, sequential models ) and with accelerating simulations using GPUs.
Strong software development skills that encourage code reuse among team members and ability to write efficient, clean, and reusable (Python, R, C++) code.
Knowledge of chipset architectures (Snapdragon 845, Google edge TPUs etc.) is a plus.
Expert 3D math, optimization, debugging and problem-solving skills.
Excellent presentation and communication skills (written, oral, internal, and client-facing).

Works independently across disciplines to investigate issues and determine solutions and to plan and complete responsibilities with limited supervision or direction.
