What You Will Learn
Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) have exploded onto the scene in the past 10 years but the technology is far from being what most solution providers will admit. Shared Autonomy bridges the gap and gives you the fastest, most flexible solution that you can implement right now. Autonomous, remote or manual- why choose one when you can have all three? Join Third Wave Automation as we bring onstage a partner American Fortune 200 third-party logistics provider as they walk through their first implementation of automation and why they went with a multimode autonomous forklift approach to help multiply their operators and workers potential.

Key Takeaways

  • Why a multimode approach is the easiest, fastest, and error proof automation implementation on the market today.
  • Change Management Strategy: From installation and support to communication and roll out within your facility and employees.
  • Project lifecycle learnings with our Fortune 200 3PL company. Why they started looking into automation and the lessons learned.

Learn More About Us

Third Wave Automation™ (TWA) was founded in 2018 in Union City, CA, to alleviate increasing supply chain stress using intelligent automation products and services. Leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to create its Collaborative Autonomy Platform™, TWA brings people and automated systems together to improve throughput, efficiency, and safety beyond what either people or automation could achieve alone.

WMS Management

Warehouse supervisors can direct the forklift fleet directly from the warehouse management system.

Multiple Truck Operation

Hands-free automation allows one warehouse supervisor to operate up to five trucks at a time.

No Infrastructure Costs

You don’t need to invest in additional infrastructure.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Misplaced pallet? No problem. The TWA system will sort it out with an operator’s help, if needed, and learn how to handle the challenge on its own the next time.

Three Operating Modes

Automated, remote control or manual—you decide how to deploy your fleet.

automated

Our Fleet Management System provides you with the tools you need to get the most out of your fleet of automated forklifts. Hands-free automation allows one warehouse supervisor to operate up to ten trucks at a time. Warehouse supervisors can operate multiple forklifts and effectively drive performance in your warehouse.

remote control

Our system allows operators to focus on the high-value tasks in the warehouse and resolve issues that arise while operating in a dynamic environment. Assists are delivered using a straightforward user interface and prioritized in order of impact to the operation. Operators can easily view the reason for the assist and either provide feedback to the system to allow it to resume the task or complete the task via remote operation.

Manual

Every automated system will eventually encounter a problem or an unexpected situation. Rather than failing in those cases, shared autonomy gives the operator control of solving the problem. Sometimes that means shared autonomy gives the operator control of solving the problem, be that remotely or operating a truck in manual mode. The TWA System offers flexibility that lets you decide how to deploy your fleet.

By using machine learning and artificial intelligence, Third Wave Automation’s Collaborative Autonomy Platform™ allows your warehouse managers and forklift fleet to work together to continue improving performance and operations.

TWA FITS ANYWHERE

The TWA system uses continual route re-planning. That means the system functions effectively, efficiently, and safely in environments where people and handling equipment move about.
