Third Wave Automation™ has partnered with the nation’s top forklift manufacturers to bring you fully automated trucks for safer, more effective warehouse workflows.
Misplaced pallet? No problem. The TWA system will sort it out with an operator’s help, if needed, and learn how to handle the challenge on its own the next time.

Site integration presents the biggest challenge to adopting automation technology in material handling facilities. Every warehouse has unique needs, payloads, processes, and workflows. The problem space is extraordinarily dynamic, and every team.
needs something a little different and tailored to their situation. Our second-generation forklift system, including our newly upgraded sensor suite, allows for dynamic navigation in ever-changing environments.
The Third Wave Automation Reach is a fully automated reach truck solution. It can operate in 10ft+ aisles up to 366 inches high in base configurations that don’t require significant changes to infrastructure or operations. The automated truck works alongside warehouse teams and utilizes TWA’s Core automation technology and Shared Autonomy Platform to enable remote operation, remote assistance, fleet management, and continuous learning capabilities.

We want you to have your fleet visible and to be able to manage it with ease. Our interface provides an overview of your environment and the fleet’s location within it. You can view the current task, intended navigation path, and predicted outcome. Knowing the locations of your key assets and being aware of their tasks gives you confidence in your deployment and offers the flexibility to make adjustments.
Our Shared Autonomy Platform seamlessly integrates into your existing workflows by leveraging your Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage tasks. Traceable actions give you the ‘when, where, and how’ to follow jobs to completion. Two-way communication, including job status, job modifications, and edge case management, lets you improve performance across your operation.
Data drives decision-making is key to improving overall performance and effectiveness. Our system provides near-time updates to crucial metrics related to materials handling movement. Key metrics include throughput, fanout, and assist measures to allow you to review, report and optimize the solution as it grows within your warehouse environment.
The TWA system uses continual route re-planning. That means the system functions effectively, efficiently, and safely in environments where people and handling equipment move about.

Our Fleet Management System provides you with the tools you need to get the most out of your fleet of automated forklifts. Hands-free automation allows one warehouse supervisor to operate up to ten trucks at a time. Warehouse supervisors can operate multiple forklifts and effectively drive performance in your warehouse.
Our system allows operators to focus on the high-value tasks in the warehouse and resolve issues that arise while operating in a dynamic environment. Assists are delivered using a straightforward user interface and prioritized in order of impact to the operation. Operators can easily view the reason for the assist and either provide feedback to the system to allow it to resume the task or complete the task via remote operation.
Our remote interface uses a truck agnostic, easy-to-use, hardware interface coupled with an informative heads-up display that provides high-visibility to your operators. Multiple camera views, including telemetry data and driver assistance features, make it easy to focus on the job.
Every automated system will eventually encounter a problem or an unexpected situation. Rather than failing in those cases, shared autonomy gives the operator control of solving the problem. Sometimes that means shared autonomy gives the operator control of solving the problem, be that remotely or operating a truck in manual mode. The TWA System offers flexibility that lets you decide how to deploy your fleet.
Using machine learning and artificial intelligence, Third Wave Automation’s Shared Autonomy Platform allows your warehouse managers and forklift fleet to work together to continue improving performance and operations.
